Program Highlight:

Our intensive Hands-on Corneal Surgery Training Program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the full spectrum of corneal procedures, with a particular focus on both transplant and therapeutic surgeries.

Trainees will actively participate in 4 to 6 corneal transplant cases per week—including penetrating keratoplasty, DALK, and DMEK—as well as approximately 10 additional corneal procedures weekly, such as pterygium excision, collagen cross-linking, superficial keratectomy, and anterior segment reconstruction.

The program emphasizes core microsurgical skills including trephination techniques, lamellar dissection, graft preparation and suturing, tissue handling under high magnification, and the use of advanced ophthalmic surgical instruments and visualization systems.

By the end of the program, participants will have developed the technical precision, intraoperative decision-making ability, and clinical insight necessary to perform corneal surgeries safely and confidently.

This immersive experience will significantly enhance surgical outcomes and prepare participants to deliver advanced corneal care in a variety of clinical settings.
