The Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship offers focused, hands-on training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for airway and pleural diseases.The program is designed for pulmonologists and physicians interested in acquiring procedural competence in bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and other minimally invasive pulmonary interventions.
Program Highlights:
Diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy including biopsy, lavage, and foreign body removal.
Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) for lymph node sampling and staging of lung cancer.
Medical thoracoscopy for pleural biopsy, adhesiolysis, and effusion management.
Balloon dilatation, airway stenting, and management of tracheobronchial obstruction.
Cryotherapy, electrocautery, and laser ablation for endobronchial lesions.
Fellows will train under experienced interventional pulmonologists in tertiary centers equipped with advanced bronchoscopy suites and thoracoscopy units.
Training Experience
• Hands-on procedural exposure in bronchoscopy, EBUS, and thoracoscopy
• Involvement in patient evaluation, pre-procedure planning, and post-procedure care
• Participation in multidisciplinary thoracic oncology and radiology discussions
• Opportunities for procedural documentation, research, and case presentations
Duration and tuition fees:
1 month: 3,800 USD
2 months : 7,500 USD
3 months : 10,000 USD
6 Months : 15,000 USD
1 Year : 25,000 USD
Fellowship application process:
NMC Temporary License:
For hands-on training, a temporary NMC license is required here in india (the National Medical Commission authorization for foreign doctors to undertake practical training).
The licensing process typically takes around two months, and our office will handle all necessary procedures on your behalf. We recommend planning your schedule accordingly to accommodate this timeline.
