The Pediatric Surgery Fellowship provides structured clinical and surgical training in the management of congenital and acquired surgical conditions in infants and children.The program is designed for general and pediatric surgeons seeking exposure to pediatric surgical techniques and perioperative care in high-volume tertiary centers.
Program Highlights:
Management of common pediatric surgical conditions including hernia, hydrocele, undescended testis, pyloric stenosis, and intestinal obstruction.
Exposure to neonatal surgical cases such as Hirschsprung’s disease, anorectal malformations, and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
Participation in emergency pediatric surgeries and trauma management.
Hands-on assistance in minor and intermediate procedures under expert supervision.
Coordination with neonatology, anesthesia, and pediatric urology units for multidisciplinary care.
Fellows will train under experienced pediatric surgeons in tertiary hospitals managing a large number of elective and emergency pediatric surgical cases.
Training Experience
• Hands-on exposure to pediatric surgical procedures and perioperative management
• Participation in daily surgical rounds, operation theater sessions, and case discussions
• Involvement in neonatal and pediatric emergency surgery management
• Opportunities for documentation, clinical audit, and research in pediatric surgical practice
Duration and tuition fees:
1 month: 3,800 USD
2 months : 7,500 USD
3 months : 10,000 USD
6 Months : 15,000 USD
1 Year : 25,000 USD
Fellowship application process:
NMC Temporary License:
For hands-on training, a temporary NMC license is required here in india (the National Medical Commission authorization for foreign doctors to undertake practical training).
The licensing process typically takes around two months, and our office will handle all necessary procedures on your behalf. We recommend planning your schedule accordingly to accommodate this timeline.
