Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship

The Robotic/Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal & Bariatric Surgery Fellowship offers structured and practical training in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques applied to gastrointestinal and bariatric procedures.

The program is designed for general and GI surgeons aiming to refine their operative skills in advanced laparoscopic and robotic systems while gaining exposure to metabolic and weight-loss surgery.


Program Highlights:


  • Robotic and laparoscopic procedures including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, colorectal resections, and fundoplication.

  • Bariatric and metabolic surgeries such as sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and revisional procedures.

  • Console operation, robotic docking, 3D visualization, and ergonomics in robotic platforms.

  • Patient positioning, trocar placement, intracorporeal suturing, and energy device application.

  • Preoperative evaluation, perioperative care, and multidisciplinary coordination with anesthesia, endocrinology, and nutrition teams.


Fellows will train under the supervision of experienced robotic and minimally invasive surgeons in tertiary centers equipped with modern robotic systems and high surgical volumes.


Training Experience

• Hands-on exposure to robotic and laparoscopic surgeries in a structured operative setting

• Involvement in case selection, intraoperative participation, and postoperative care

• Participation in bariatric patient assessment, counseling, and long-term outcome follow-up

• Opportunities for surgical video review, academic discussion, and clinical research in minimally invasive surgery


Duration and tuition fees:

1 month: 3,800 USD

2 months : 7,500 USD

3 months : 10,000 USD

6 Months : 15,000 USD

1 Year : 25,000 USD


Fellowship application process:


NMC Temporary License:

For hands-on training, a temporary NMC license is required here in india (the National Medical Commission authorization for foreign doctors to undertake practical training).


The licensing process typically takes around two months, and our office will handle all necessary procedures on your behalf. We recommend planning your schedule accordingly to accommodate this timeline.

5. Passport Size Photograph

6. Passport Copy

7. All Degree Certificates (including any Specialities, if applicable)

8. Valid Medical Practitioner License

9. Valid Good Standing Certificate
